Nopebook HQ are delighted to announce the opening of our very first writing competition, #NopeFlashFiction!
Our panel of judges will be looking for your very best spooky short stories around the theme of Halloween. This can be interpreted however you like, but stories must relate in some way to this theme. Shortlisted stories will be judged by bestselling novelist Syd Moore, and the winner will be published on The Nopebook’s Story Corner and receive an Amazon Echo Dot!
(Heads up — you can also read Syd’s book Witch Hunt
with #YepBooks book club this October!)
How to Enter
Submissions are open now, and the deadline for submitting your stories is midnight (UK time) on 15th October 2017. One submission per person please!
Submissions should be no longer than 2000 words (not including the title) and revisions will not be accepted – so make sure you send us your final draft! You should send your submission as an email attachment (Microsoft Word Doc, OpenDocument Text, or Rich Text File) to [email protected] with the subject line #NopeFlashFiction.
This competition is open to entrants from the UK and internationally. It’s free to enter, but there is a suggested donation of £1 (paid via our PayPal account) which will go towards helping us support minority writers. You can find our full terms and conditions over on our #NopeFlashFiction page.
We can’t wait to read your submissions!
